“A relaxing antidote to impersonal large resorts”
My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in June, having stayed a similar time at a large resort in Denarau. This was seriously good relaxation time and having become a bit ill before arriving here, was well looked after by the very personable staff and management. Ryan was especially attentive and offered up ginger and honey tea the moment we arrived which worked so very well. This is a place geared to let you work to your own schedule and with a large communal table and comfy lounge inside the residence, as well as small more intimate table settings available outside and on the verandah, you can mix with other interesting guests from all around the world, or dine and relax as a couple. The bure's are nice, with subdued lighting, great showers and flexible open plan design. We were wonderfully close to the small coral sand beach and enjoyed walking to the nearby jetty, kayaking and snorkeling the safe and rather shallow reef, with plenty of fish (and an occasional moray eel) to see. There are basic convenience stores across the road from the residence and you're a short bus trip away from Sigatoka should you want to break up your peace and quiet with a visit to this town to buy souvenirs or locally made clothing. The owners, management and staff make you feel right at home here and this is something I picked up on in comments from some of the other guests. This is not a 5 star resort and in so many ways it's all the better for that. Many thanks to Anne-Marie, Ryan, Julian and your small team for looking after us so well and making us feel so welcome in your home.
